Background & Context

South Sudan’s healthcare system has long faced limitations in access to specialized medical services, with patients often required to seek advanced care outside the country. The establishment of Nile King Specialized Hospital in Juba marked a significant milestone, as one of the first multi-specialty hospitals designed to deliver comprehensive diagnostic, surgical, and inpatient services within South Sudan.

To achieve this vision, the hospital required a trusted partner capable of delivering integrated medical infrastructure, advanced technology, and reliable clinical solutions under complex operational conditions.

Samasu’s Role & Scope of Work

The scope included:

  • Advanced diagnostic imaging, including GE CT (Optima 520) systems
  • Complete operating room (OR) solutions, covering surgical equipment and infrastructure
  • Medical furniture for clinical, inpatient, and procedural areas
  • Laboratory equipment supporting essential diagnostic services
  • Endoscopy systems for minimally invasive diagnostics and procedures
  • Supply of medical consumables to support day-to-day clinical operations

All solutions were delivered in alignment with international healthcare standards and adapted to the local operational environment.

This project represents a critical step in strengthening South Sudan’s healthcare infrastructure and expanding access to specialized medical care within the country.

  • Deliver end-to-end hospital infrastructure solutions
  • Operate effectively in emerging and post-conflict healthcare markets
  • Support private healthcare investment with scalable, sustainable solutions
